NON-PROFIT MANAGEMENT

PHI SIGMA PI NATIONAL HONOR FRATERNITY
AUG04 - PRESENT

Currently serving as the National President of Phi Sigma Pi. This is a volunteer position elected bi-annually by a national meeting of the organization's delegates. I am serving my fourth consecutive two-year term. My responsibilities include managing an eight person board of directors, developing short and long term strategic goals, as well as overseeing the work of the Executive Director.

The organization has a $1.3 million annual budget, a membership of 40,000 and a full time staff of twelve employees. Major projects implemented include migrating our documentation and training materials online using mediawiki, improving member benefits through increased non-elected leadership opportunities, focusing on small dollar donor cultivation, implementing both a crisis and risk management program, and strengthening our partnership with Teach For America.

Improvements in donor cultivation has grown our donation levels from less than 1% of our annual budget in 2004 to 7% of our 2010 budget.

Philanthropic initiatives in support of Teach For America has lead to us annually having as many members accepted as Corps Members as most top tier universities

The organization's wiki has over 3,300 unique content pages, largely member generated and maintained
